Initial Consultation
The Initial Consultation consists of several sessions. Taking some time with this part of this process helps create a more sure foundation as patients and I discern next steps. Together, we have time to hear what's on your mind, for you to get a feel for my approach, and for us to consider arrangements thoughtfully, including the mode of therapy, fees, payment, and whatever else may arise and need our attention from the beginning. From there, I'll offer a recommendation about how I think we might proceed, in order to support what you want and need from treatment.
Sessions
Sessions are 50 minutes, scheduled as standing appointments. Depending on what a patient and I may decide, sessions may be once or twice a week, or more frequent, 3-5 times a week. Meeting frequently allows for a sense of interconnectedness and flow, allowing us the best access to what's happening outside of and within the sessions.
Fees
My full fee is $225, payable at the time of the session unless other arrangements have been made. I offer reduced fees to help make treatment accessible at multiple price points. Conversations about fees occur during the initial consultation and as needed throughout treatment. I accept payments using Zelle (for cash transfers) and Ivy (for credit cards, for which there is additional $5 processing fee). I provide a monthly financial statement that can be used to file for reimbursement from insurance and kept for patients' records.
Cancellation Policy
If a patient anticipates a need to be away during a regularly scheduled session, an alternative time or mode of therapy can usually be arranged. Sessions not cancelled or rescheduled with 48 hours' notice incur the session fee. Further details, and any questions you may have, will be discussed during the Initial Consultation.
